TUC International has produced an employment rights online resource guide in 17 languages to help inform migrants of their working rights in the UK.

The TUC is the national centre of trade unions in the UK, representing more than 5.5 million workers and 52 unions from a variety of sectors.

The employment rights online resource guide can be found by going to www.tuc.org.uk/workingintheuk

The online tool is available in Bulgarian, English, French, Hungarian, Italian,  Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak and Spanish. A PDF version of the guide can be downloaded from the portal in  Gujarati, Bangla, Urdu and Punjabi.

As a first step, users get support to identify the category of worker they belong to: employee, worker or self employed. Once they know their category, they can find out which rights apply to them, in terms of remuneration, maternity/paternity, working hours and holidays, health and safety, conflicts at work, recruitment agencies, unions, etc.
